Oslo City Hall

Oslo City Hall opened in 1950, and is open to everyone. The City Hall tower is home to the largest carillon in the Nordics, and one may get married in the Munch Room. The City Hall is also the seat of the city council and administration.

Precautionary measures when visiting Oslo City Hall

Opening hours will be Sunday-Thursday, 9 am-4pm. Until further we do not offer guided tours, and we can not receive organized groups.

Civil wedding in Oslo City Hall

In Oslo you can get married in the City Hall. The Norwegian marriage law is gender-neutral.

As a preventive measure in connection with corona outbreaks, the City Hall is closed until further notice.

The carillon of the City Hall

The bells in Oslo City Hall play every hour som 7 a.m. to midnight. The bells play everything from classical pieces to more recent pop.
